Let it Snow!

Claire's looking forward to the Winter Season!...

It's November and we're approaching my favourite time of year - the ski season! As an event manager, it's part of my job to organise the ski trips we do each year and it will soon be time pack my ski boots and accompany them on the trip. Usually they are 3 nights over a long weekend and we ensure the groups have fun from start to finish, with all their accommodation, flights, ski passes, equipment and instructors taken care of, and ensuring they sample the local nightlife until the early hours! This year we're taking groups to Switzerland, Austria and no doubt by the time January kicks in there will also be some trips to France. The group in Switzerland are staying a night in an igloo at the top of a mountain - where they can also have an open air Jacuzzi and eat in a restaurant carved out of ice!

Spain doesn't always spring to the front of people's minds when they think about ski trips, but Sierra Nevada is Europe's most southerly ski resort, with sunshine guaranteed and the name literally means ‘Snowy Mountain'. The resort is at 2,100m with the highest lift at over 3,000m so sometimes you can literally ski above the clouds! The town is vibrant and has a ‘fiesta' feel to it so I'm sure our groups would enjoy the party atmosphere.

In complete contrast, I'm organising a murder mystery event this week and bought individual costumes for over 40 people, great fun and I can get really creative with their outfits. With that and helping out on the final touches for a conference for 1,300 people next week I'm sure it's going to be a busy week!
